Tattoo Tribune is taking shape as an independent journal dedicated to the art, the trade and the culture of tattooing. It is a home for the artists, studio owners, suppliers and collectors whose stories make up the industry.

Our aim is to build a connected record: stories that lead to artist and studio profiles, coverage that connects to conventions, and product reporting that distinguishes an announcement from a review. The people and places behind the work deserve context that lasts beyond a social feed.

The founding edition begins with seven editorial desks: industry news, artists, studios, culture and history, gear, conventions, and research. We will develop these desks around verified sources, clear attribution and appropriate image permissions.

Editorial independence requires clear boundaries. News, opinion, sponsored content and advertising will be labeled. Award criteria and research methods will be published before those programs open. Advertising and plaque purchases will not determine recognition.

This introductory editorial presents the publication’s direction. It makes no claims about completed interviews, audience size, product testing or research results. Those stories and findings will earn their place through reporting, verification and editorial review.
